Frequently asked questions

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

I am based out of Clearwater and Sun Peaks Resort here in British Columbia.

I love to travel and would be happy to accommodate your wedding in another epic location anywhere in the world. I often travel to Vancouver Island, Golden, Revelstoke, Banff, Canmore, Jasper and I am available for international travel.

HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK?

I typically book a year in advance, so it’s a good idea to reach out as soon as you can.

ARE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS NECESSARY?

I truly believe in engagement sessions for a number of reasons. First, it is a wonderful way for us to get to know each other and have you get used to being comfortable in front of me and my lens. I find that if I have shot engagement sessions with couples before their wedding, they are way more relaxed on the wedding day and it is more like hanging out with friends. The second reason I love these sessions is for the amazing photographs we are able to create! I photograph with intention, and am always looking to capture emotion and feeling. Plus, these photos also work great for customized guest books at the wedding or for your Save the Date cards!

WE FEEL AWKWARD IN FRONT OF A CAMERA, WILL YOU HELP US FEEL COMFORTABLE?

I get this question a lot! This is what I am here for, and why I recommend adding an engagement session to your collection.

I want you to feel at ease and will always give you gentle prompts that will bring out your most natural candid selves :).

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

Delivery times for Weddings and Elopements are 8-12 weeks with previews sent within 7 days.

All other sessions are delivered within 4 weeks.

WILL YOU ACCEPT A LIST OF PHOTOS WE WANT CAPTURED?

Of course. This is YOUR wedding and I want to create photos and memories that are unique to the two of you. I love making your photos as memorable and special as possible and want them to speak to you as a couple.

I ask that your list be sent to me no later than 2 weeks before your wedding.

WHY IS A CONTRACT NECESSARY?

Wedding contracts are an industry standard, and are essentially a series of what if’s and worst case scenarios that haven’t personally happened to me, but just incase they do I want you to know how I will handle it. It protects both our butts incase the unexpected ever does occur and I want us both to be protected :).

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK OR SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOUR CAMERA?

This thought literally gives me nightmares! I take all the necessary precautions in order to prevent that these fears will never happen in real life! I work with a few incredible local photographers who are similar in style, work ethic, and personality to me who will step in to photograph your wedding if something unfortunate were to happen to me. I also try to take very good care of myself so that it never comes to that. When I photograph a wedding I work with doubles of everything in case one of them malfunctions unexpectedly – this means – 2 professional camera bodies, several professional lenses, too many memory cards to count, LOTS of batteries– the list goes on!

DO YOU HAVE AN LIST OF VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS?

I would love to help you out with finding other vendors! Planners, hair and makeup, commissioners, and videographers. You name it, I will help guide you in the right direction.

WE WANT TO BOOK YOU, NOW WHAT?

You can email me at earthinbloomphotography@gmail.com or click the Get In Touch button below! From there, If I am available on your date I would love to sit down or chat on the phone with the two of you and talk more about your special day and how you envision it going!

In order to secure the date for you, I personalize a contract for you both to sign, and with it I require a $500 non-refundable deposit. I also send a customized Wedding Questionnaire for you both to sit down and fill out.

The final payment is due 4 weeks before your wedding date, and usually when we schedule our last meeting to go over all the details!

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! Payment plans for sessions, elopements and weddings are fully customizable.
